AWOG Celebrates America 250: Celebrating & Benefiting
A 4th of July Celebration of American Community in Greece
In honor of the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, the American Women’s Organization of Greece is hosting a special Independence Day Celebration inspired by the enduring American values of community, volunteerism, and creating impact.
One of the most defining traditions of American culture is building strong communities where people actively and collectively give back and create opportunities to benefit others. This spirit of civic engagement, service, and hands-on participation has long been at the heart of America, and it is this spirit we are excited to celebrate in Greece.
As Americans living abroad and friends of the American community in Greece, we are honored to celebrate America 250 by sharing these values through joy, generosity, and togetherness.
Together with the children and community of the SOS Children’s Villages Vari, AWOG members and friends will gather for an evening of fun featuring classic American-style BBQ favorites catered by Simply Burgers, live music by Harry Papasideris, a special baseball experience hosted by the Hellenic Baseball Softball Federation, games, raffles with exciting prizes, and more!
