As we step into 2026, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone; 78 years since a group of visionary American women came together with a shared purpose to support one another and create meaningful impact in the Greek community they came to call home.

This anniversary is more than a reflection of our history, it is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when women unite with purpose, vision,
and determination.

Today, AWOG stands as a living testament to that legacy—an enduring, distinctly American presence in Greece, built on connection, initiative, and a spirit that continues to evolve with every generation.

Over the past year, our community has grown stronger and more dynamic, welcoming women from diverse backgrounds while staying true to the values that define us.

At the heart of AWOG are its members. Their energy fuels our momentum, their courage inspires progress, and their vision shapes an exciting future.

We Impact Our Community Through Service & Donations

Palliative Care Center for Cancer Patients, Bathroom wheelchair to support patients.
Heart Pillow Project

We continue to handcraft heart pillows and distribute them to public hospitals.

Supporting Caritas Voula of the Holy Catholic Church of the Holy Apostles Parish with donation of hygiene products for elderly women.
Loukoumi Make a Difference Foundation

We sponsored their Good Deed Bus in Athens and one initiative included our heart pillow stuffing party, also featured in their recent book & Inspiring Stories That Make a Difference
Ronald McDonald House

New washer and dryer with the support of the Archangels Ladies Philoptochos Stanford, CT, U.S.A.
Π.Ε.Α.Ν.Δ.

Panhellenic Association Against Type 1 Diabetes, 34 sponsored tickets for their annual fundraiser to support their new community center.
Estia

Cultural Center for Young Adults; we bought some food supplies for their Christmas sweets for their bazaar.
