Our Annual Holiday Gala is more than a festive evening, it is our most important fundraiser of the year, helping us continue our community service programs and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Founded in 1948, the American Women’s Organization of Greece - AWOG is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization built on friendship, camaraderie and a commitment to giving back.
This year, your presence at the Gala directly supports our mission, helping us provide scholarships for young women and support women recovering from breast cancer surgery.

Every Celebration Can Create an Opportunity
As we come together to celebrate, we are reminded that the most meaningful celebrations are those that give back and create opportunities for others. Your support can help turn an evening of celebration into a moment that changes a life.
Most recently, €2,500 raised by AWOG helped Kostis, a young Greek student from SOS Children’s Villages in Alexandroupolis, travel to Hong Kong to compete in the WRO Global Tech Challenge World Robotics Competition.
He returned home with an incredible four international distinctions:
World Champion, Robot Soccer
World Champion, Quadruped Robot Adventure Mission
2nd Place, SDGs Intelligent Exhibition
2nd Place, Robot Shooting Challenge
What began as a celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary became something even more meaningful: an opportunity for a talented young student to dream bigger, compete on the world stage and succeed.
For AWOG, this is what community is about and your participation in this year's Gala helps us continue that work.
